清明节, Tomb Sweeping Festival and iPad, iPhone

Every year around this time (early April) is the Qing Min Jie or Tomb Sweeping Festival.  Each year, the Chinese will typically visit their ancestors tomb.  The descendant will pray with fruits and food.  They will also burn big houses, luxury sport cars, branded clothing, handbags (of course all made from paper), etc to their death so that those in the heaven can use it.

In recent day, due to the high tech advancement and the popularity of iPad, iphone, many started to purchase replica iPad, iphone for their ancestors.  During a break with colleagues, we were discussing about this.  We were all very excited and started throwing idea about inventing virtual mobile plans for the death.  With the iPad and iPhone provided to the death, they probably cannot use the phone till the ancestor bought them a subscription plan.  What a great idea!!!

First, we need to setup 3 online virtual service providers namely SengCanTel, N2 and Start2hub.  Provide various plan with both voice and data services.

Second, each plan starts from each year Tomb Sweeping festival and end during next year tomb sweeping festival.  No worry about checking when to upgrade and when the subscription end.  Also, no monthly sub, just a yearly sub will do.  Lower cost.

Third, on top of that, video streaming of 7th month Getai will be streamed free to the end user in the heaven so that they do not need to visited the mortal world.  No need to reserve first row for them and they can watch at the comfort of their nice big houses.

Finally, do not provide a helpdesk number. Just in case you get a midnight call unnecessary...

So, can this idea be feasible?  Innovative to get some EDB grant or venture capitalist?

Let us see.
